Dave Annable + Kate Walsh News
Saturday, February 24, 2007
Much of the evening's buzz centered around Kate Walsh, who was tight-lipped about the just-announced news of her Grey's Anatomy spin off. Kate, who chose a metallic frock from Dolce & Gabbana for the event, arrived on the arm of her brother Joe and spent time chatting with Brothers and Sisters star Dave Annabale.
Lindzi Gossip:
The real juice? I saw Kate Walsh and actor Dave Annable KISSING! Their casual flirtation downstairs, continued to the balcony upstairs where they shared a booth... Then, by the valet, when they thought no one was looking... they sucked face. Like a couple of high school kids. It was great.

Diggs goes for 'Grey' spin
Thursday, February 22, 2007
Taye Diggs has been tapped to star opposite Kate Walsh in ABC's potential spinoff from hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy."
Additionally, "Grey" producer ABC TV Studio has extended for two more years its overall deal with O'Taye Prods., Diggs' production company with his longtime manager, Abe Hoch.
The potential spinoff will test the waters as a back-door pilot, an expanded two-hour episode of "Grey" slated to air in May. It will center on neonatal surgeon Addison Shepherd (Walsh), a character that has enjoyed a strong following from fans since she was introduced at the end of the hot surgical drama's first season.
It is understood that the back-door pilot episode will feature Shepherd on the verge of leaving Seattle Grace, a scenario that will be triggered if ABC goes with the spinoff for next season. There were no details on the character Diggs will play.
"Grey" creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes is writing the episode and is expected to shepherd the potential series. Meanwhile, Rhimes' other pilot for ABC and ABC TV Studio, about female journalists, has been pushed to a summer production start.
Diggs' casting in the "Grey" spinoff stems from a new talent holding deal he recently inked with ABC TV Studio.
Diggs has a long-standing relationship with the studio. He toplined two drama series for them, "Kevin Hill" for UPN and "Day Break" for ABC. He also served as a producer on both, along with Hoch.
O'Taye Prods.' new two-year deal with ABC TV Studio is set to kick in in June when the company's current pact with the studio expires. Through its relationship with ABC TV Studio, O'Taye Prods. is working on several projects.
"Ph.D.," a drama from writer M. Scott Veach described as " 'CSI' in college," has been set up at ABC Family.
Additionally, the company has inked a blind script commitment with writer John Ridley ("Three Kings") and is developing "Holmes," a detective drama with a twist from writer Adrian Fulle.
Diggs also is repped by Endeavor and attorney Ken Weinrib.

Puffy Tells T.R. – Butt Out!
Monday, February 12, 2007
Speaking of Timberlake's Friday night blowout at Avalon, it seems that T.R. Knight got the diss from yet another famously volatile black man – P. Diddy. The rapper-mogul showed up, as usual, to the party "very, very late," according to Page Six, and the "Grey's Anatomy" cast was clustered in the VIP area. This did not please Puffy, and thus a bodyguard was reportedly dispatched to remove T.R. – and castmates Kate Walsh and Sara Ramirez – to another table. Combs and Knight had to exchange words before Knight and pals moved to another table – but Combs didn't even know who Knight was. A Combs rep says that there wasn't a tiff and that it was Diddy's bodyguard who moved them.

Grey's Anatomy's Kate Walsh Speaks Out about Gun Violence
Tuesday, February 06, 2007
The Brady Campaign is honored that Kate Walsh from Grey's Anatomy recorded this public service announcement about preventing gun violence on our behalf.
Click on the image to watch the new video, or read the text of Kate's message below.
Kate Walsh currently plays Dr. Addison Shepherd (wife of Dr. McDreamy) on ABC's Grey's Anatomy. She was a series regular on The Drew Carey Show, and has appeared in numerous films, including Bewitched, Kicking & Screaming, and Under the Tuscan Sun.
-------------------------------
Here is the text of the video:
Hello, my name is Kate Walsh. I play Dr. Addison Montgomery on Grey's Anatomy on ABC.
Everyday doctors struggle courageously to save the lives of gun shot victims. The cost to our health care system is staggering and the heartbreak is devastating.
Everyday 79 Americans are killed by guns including 8 young people. Hundreds more injured each day by guns, this is a national shame and we can do better.
We can start by doing all that we can to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
Leading this effort is the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. Their Campaign Against Illegal Guns strikes at the heart of the illegal gun market and reckless gun dealers who make it so easy for criminals to get guns.
You can help. Join me in supporting the Brady Campaign. Go to bradycampaign.org to learn more and find out how you can save lives.
